Our Beginnings in Buffalo

Italian Marble & Granite, started in 1986, specializes in the fabrication of marble and granite countertops, tabletops, conference tables, flooring, and more.  Our company started in a small 3000 square foot facility on Transit Road in Elma with five full-time employees.  By 1993, the company expanded to an 11,000 square foot facility with 10 employees. In 2006, Italian Marble and Granite moved into its present facility in Clarence Center, New York, with over 20 employees and a 22,000 square foot indoor facility. Our indoor facility allows customers the ability to view slabs all year without being exposed to the Western New York weather.  Currently our inventory is over 700 slabs with containers arriving every three weeks with new selections of marble and granite imported from all over the world. In addition to fine granite and marble, we also carry onyx, CaesarStone, Zodiaq, Silestone, Hanstone, Q-Stone, concrete, porcelain, limestone, soapstone, and fossil stone. We are consistently bringing in new materials to stay ahead of the trends in the industry.

Mark Zografos has over 20 years of experience in the stone industry. As owner of Italian Marble and Granite, Mark has completed numerous prestigious projects such as:

  • Bausch & Lomb boardroom table, approximately 50 feet in length
  • ASCAP and Bank of America conference tables
  • Numerous clients in the World Trade Center with work completed on the upper floors just months before the attack
  • Installation projects from San Francisco to New York City to Naples, Florida

Why Kitchen Countertops Are So Important

The trend in today's kitchen is to showcase dramatic countertops and with our diverse selection of surface materials, you are sure to find a material that fits into your overall aesthetic.

Granite Fabrication and Installation

Countertop Fabrication

Italian Marble & Granite believes strongly in reinvesting in itself.  We are the only completely digital shop in Western New York.  Italian Marble & Granite field measures every project with the latest laser technology.  Mark Zografos' background in architecture and construction enable him to visualize your finished project and discuss the details often missed by other granite fabricators. Our technology allows the clients to sit down with our engineers and review their project in the comfort of our conference room.  During this meeting, we review grain direction and joint locations with clients to assure them that their selection is exactly what we will install. Our CNC equipment is capable of cutting your approved layout exactly as you envisioned it. We also have waterjet cutting that only enhances our capabilities. Together, if you can dream it, we can build it.

Our many satisfied customers are the best measure of our success. Many of our customers are often repeat clients that have enjoyed the Italian Marble & Granite experience.

Caring For Your Granite Countertops

Granite Countertop ColorsGranite is forever - nature made it to last. Unlike most alternatives, granite is a durable worry-free surface that represents a piece of earth’s history that cannot be duplicated. No other product can replicate the sheer beauty of granite and it is our goal for you to truly enjoy your new kitchen, vanity, office, bathroom or other granite surface. To maintain your granite surface, please follow these guidelines.

  • Although granite is a strong surface, it cannot handle the weight of an individual.  Therefore, do not stand or sit on your countertops.
  • We recommend that you clean your countertop with cleaners made for natural stone.  Upon installation we will provide a complementary cleaner to get you started.  Additional supplies are available at Italian Marble & Granite.
  • When using soap and warm water, soap build up can occur.
  • Do not use any abrasive cleaners or acidic substances like ammonia.
  • Need additional help? We are now offering a care package for a nominal charge.  Italian Marble & Granite will come to your home or office and clean and polish your countertops that you purchased from us.
